Mark 12:8 Meaning and Commentary

Mark 12:8

And they took him, and killed him, and cast him, out of the
vineyard.
] They sent their officers and servants, and apprehended him in the garden; they delivered him to the Gentiles, who were without the vineyard, and by whom, at their instigation, he was put to death, even to the death of the cross. The Ethiopic version reads it in the same order as in Matthew; "they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed hin"; (See Gill on Matthew 21:39).

Mark 12:8 In-Context

6 He had still one other, a beloved son. Finally he sent him to them, saying, "They will respect my son.'
7 But those tenants said to one another, "This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'
8 So they seized him, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
9 What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others.
