Here is the genealogy of Adam. On the day that God created man he made him in the likeness of God;

he created them male and female; he blessed them and called them Adam [humankind, man] on the day they were created.

After Adam lived 130 years he fathered a son like himself and named him Shet.
4
After Shet was born, Adam lived another 800 years and had both sons and daughters.
5
In all, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.
6
Shet lived 105 years and fathered Enosh.
7
After Enosh was born, Shet lived another 807 years and had sons and daughters.
8
In all, Shet lived 912 years; then he died.
9
Enosh lived ninety years and fathered Kenan.
10
After Kenan was born, Enosh lived another 815 years and had sons and daughters.
11
In all, Enosh lived 905 years; then he died.

Kenan lived seventy years and fathered Mahalal'el.
13
After Mahalal'el was born, Kenan lived another 840 years and had sons and daughters.

After Metushelach was born, Hanokh walked with God 300 years and had sons and daughters.

In all, Hanokh lived 365 years.

Hanokh walked with God, and then he wasn't there, because God took him.

Metushelach lived 187 years and fathered Lemekh.

After Lemekh was born, Metushelach lived 782 years and had sons and daughters.
27
In all, Metushelach lived 969 years; then he died.

Lemekh lived 182 years and fathered a son,

whom he called Noach [restful]; for he said, "This one will comfort us in our labor, in the hard work we do with our hands [to get what comes] from the ground that ADONAI cursed."

After Noach was born, Lemekh lived 595 years and had sons and daughters.
31
In all, Lemekh lived 777 years; then he died.
32
Noach was 500 years old; and Noach fathered Shem, Ham and Yefet.

Here is the genealogy of Shem. Shem was 100 years old when he fathered Arpakhshad two years after the flood.

After Arpakhshad was born, Shem lived another 500 years and had sons and daughters.

Arpakhshad lived thirty-five years and fathered Shelach.

After Shelach was born, Arpakhshad lived another 403 years and had sons and daughters.

Shelach lived thirty years and fathered 'Ever.

After 'Ever was born, Shelach lived another 403 years and had sons and daughters.

'Ever lived thirty-four years and fathered Peleg.

After Peleg was born, 'Ever lived another 430 years and had sons and daughters.

These are the sons of Isra'el: Re'uven, Shim'on, Levi, Y'hudah, Yissakhar, Z'vulun,

Dan, Yosef, Binyamin, Naftali, Gad and Asher.

The sons of Y'hudah: 'Er, Onan and Shelah; the mother of these three was Bat-Shua the Kena'anit. 'Er, Y'hudah's firstborn, was wicked from ADONAI's perspective, so he killed him.
4
Tamar his daughter-in-law bore him Peretz and Zerach; thus Y'hudah had five sons altogether.
5
The sons of Peretz: Hetzron and Hamul.
6
The sons of Zerach: Zimri, Eitan, Heiman, Kalkol and Dara - five of them altogether.
7
The sons of Karmi: 'Akhar [troubler], who troubled Isra'el by violating the rule concerning things set aside to be destroyed.
8
The son of Eitan: 'Azaryah.
9
The sons born to Hetzron: Yerachme'el, Ram and K'luvai.
10
Ram fathered 'Amminadav; 'Amminadav fathered Nachshon prince of the descendants of Y'hudah;

Nachshon fathered Salma; Salma fathered Bo'az;

Bo'az fathered 'Oved; 'Oved fathered Yishai;
